Custom spring production from technical drawings or samples

Maktel manufactures custom springs in wire diameters from 0.20 to 9.00 mm, based on customer technical drawings, samples or application requirements. For band and strip materials, we offer form-spring production up to 40 mm width and 3 mm thickness.

Our production infrastructure is supported by heat treatment, grinding, shot peening, press operations, laser cutting and machining. Application-dependent painting and surface coating is managed in a controlled way through approved external suppliers that meet our own quality criteria.

Spring design and prototype development support

Maktel’s engineering team evaluates load characteristics, operating conditions, cycle life, material selection, installation space and manufacturability together, offering customers design optimisation and alternative technical solutions.

When needed, we prepare prototypes before series production, validate the design and shape the production process accordingly.

Spring materials and selection criteria

Maktel uses a range of spring steels under the EN 10270-1, EN 10270-2 and EN 10270-3 / ISO 6931-1 standards for different fatigue life, temperature and corrosion requirements, selecting materials according to the application’s performance and manufacturability needs. Main material groups: SH, DH, SM, FDSiCr, VDSiCr, VDSiCrV, CrSiV, 301, 302, 304, 316 and 631.

Spring testing and quality verification

Maktel addresses quality throughout the entire production process. In-house we perform force, life-cycle, salt/corrosion and hardness tests, evaluating spring performance and supporting design verification.
